About Me

My name is Jordan Barrett and i am a young filmmaker and aspiring Director and Producer based in the North East of England.

My resume can be found HERE

The passion for film grew in college for which I owe a large debt to my teacher who inspired me to do what i do. This led to the next step in a BSc (Hons) degree in Film Production Technology Staffordshire University. In such a short space of time I have been able to gain a wide range of experiences in the United Kingdom and United States working in film and television on everything from documentaries, short films, music videos to feature films.

My own short films have themselves gained success appearing film festivals around the world. Ash Wednesday, which I co-wrote and co-produced achieved an official selection at a number of festivals including the Secret City Film Festival and Twin Rivers Media Festival. The short film that followed Per Mare, Per Terram which i wrote, directed and produced, has appeared at such festivals as the Wanderings Film Festival and the Dam Short Film Festival in Nevada, USA. The film has recently been acquired for DVD distribution in the United States. My latest short film that i have wrote, directed and produced Exodus, is soon to begin it’s journey to film festivals.

With a passion for filmmaking in a wide variety of subject matters and formats, I see each new project as a new set of challenges to overcome and learn. If you would like to get in touch with me about scripts, film ideas, work, corporate video, music videos or anything else please don’t hesitate to email me at jordanbarrettfilm@gmail.com

  1. Hi Jordon, I’ve been following your blogs for sometime. I was wondering if you would like to be apart of a 1950’s period drama (only a 10 min film). We need someone who has a real eye with the camera. It’s a part of a 2nd year work for film and outsourcing some of the roles. We’d love you on camera. We hope to submit film to festivals later this year.
